Memebox Superbox #19 - Honeybox

I am really happy that I got this box. I've really been into honey as a skincare treatment since I found that honey as a very high antibacterial count which is good for treating internal and external ailments, like acne or stomach infections. This is the box I was excited to get the most and it doesn't disappoint.
This box came with 6 full sized products, and I can't wait to try them all.

Pure Smile Honey Snail Hand Cream is a good addition to my hand cream collection. When I think of the snail ingredient I get hesitant. So I feel that this hand cream will give me a good introduction into snail cosmetics.
Product excerpt: This hand cream's unique formula is rich with intensive moisturizers and special conditioners which help diminish tough calluses and heal unsightly cuticles. It dries to a velvety smooth finish, leaving minimal residue on hands. Retail value - $5 for 60g tube

Skin Factory Real Honey Ampule Mask will be my first honey sheet mask. And I love that this mask is also alcohol free. On the packaging it says that this is part of the "Five Free" line of products, which are Colorant-Free, Pigment-Free, Paraben-Free, Ethanol-Free, and Mineral Oil Free. For sensitive skin, this is good to know.
Product excerpt: Revered for generations for its ability to absorb and retain moisture, honey is rich in natural sugars that help to create a moisture-preserving veil over the face. Retail value - $2 for 1 mask.

Secret Key Honey Bee Spot Remover is much needed since my Origins Spot Remover is almost done. The description states that it will help with scaring and I like that. I find that I get scarring with the Origins and with others I don't. It might be because it is too strong. I hope this works out for me!
Product excerpt: This cream penetrates deep into the skin to visibly improve the appearance of skin discoloration associated with age spots, acne scarring and spot damage to give the look of a clear complexion, and purified bee venom, propolis and tea tree work to soothe and repair troubled skin. Retail value - $41 for 15ml tube.

Nella Fantasia Honey One Snail Moisture Cream makes me get a little freaked out about using this cream. I don't know why! Hopefully I will get over it by using the hand cream.
Product excerpt: This moisture cream is a deeply hydrating, lightweight wonder designed to smooth the complexion while reducing the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration. Infused with both soothing and healing elements, honey and snail extracts replenish the skin's lost moisture and heal damaged skin to deliver soft, healthy, and glowing skin. Retail value - $38 for 100g jar

Beauty Recipe Propolis Magic Ampule is a product I have been waiting for. I love serums! So I'm very excited to try this out. The full size is huge!!
Product excerpt: This propolis infused face ampule is enriched with Galactomyces, Spirulina, Acai Berry Rose Hip and other irritant-free natural ingredients. It is free of 21 harsh chemicals, so that your skin can receive the greatest treatment yet. Propolis extracts promote a balanced oil and moisture balance in the skin to even out the skin tone and boost radiance.
Reatil value - $43 for 30ml bottle.

YuYu Healthcare Honey Glow Balm is a lip balm that is translucent, almost clear. It also smells like honey. I had to try this right away because lip balms are a necessity for me. I wasn't able to pick up much by rubbing it, so I had to dig in to the product to get enough to apply onto my lip. It's nice! Doesn't have a lot of slip to it, which is good. I find to much slip in a lip balm means it won't last long on your lips.  Another product I'm glad came in this box.
Product excerpt: Use this cheek and lip balm to bring a rosy flush to the cheeks and lips, or use it to moisturize dry skin and chapped lips. Infused with royal honey, this balm penetrates deep within to deliver maximum nutrients and moisturize. Retail value - $11 for 5g jar.

The Honey box was $39 and the total retail value is $140. That is a really great value if you go by the amounts stated. I don't know though! The spot treatment alone is valued at $41, which I find that to be a lot.
But regardless, I find this box to be well worth it.

Memebox Superbox #14 - Night Care Unboxing

It came!! This is the first box I've ordered from Memebox and I am so excited. There has been so much hype around this beauty box company, that I had to give it a try. Mainly because I haven't had a beauty box in the mail in the last couple of months since cancelling my last one in January. I needed the fix of opening a box and looking to see what goodness it has inside. I have to admit I did look around for spoilers though. They longer I have to wait, the more curious I get. So on to the reveal of my first Memebox!

Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling this silky foot peeling kit will soothe calloused and cracked, remove any unwanted odors and moisturize heels and cuticle to reveal soft and youthful feet.
  - I am extremely excited to try this out. I have wanted to for a long time but there is so many on ebay that I didn't bother. I would love to know the ingredients in the peel, but they're not in English.

Secret Key Angel Mist Wrap Steam Cream this gentle formula supports nighttime renewal to retexturize and moisturize the skin, as it plumps the appearance of fine lines and evens skin tone.
 - I've tried the original Steam Cream and it did not get along with my skin. I ended up using it as a body moisturizer in order to use it. I have read though that this does not have the exact same ingredients as the original, so I might end up liking this.

Derma House Micro Pearl Skin Scaling Cream Pearl powder and natural plant extracts in the formula will remove impurities and gently take away dead skin cells to clear clogged pores, even out and brighten skin tone to reveal a luminous complexion.
  - I am not a fan of manual scrubs since my skin is sensitive. But I will try it! Just to get a read on the texture and my skin reaction.

Pure Label Water Drop Sleeping Pack Pomegranate It's a facial treatment to address exhausted and dull skin that improves skin quality for a brighter and more luminous complexion.
  - Again something I have always wanted to try. Love pomegranate!

Beau Sella Wrinkle Solution Placenta Eye Cream signature ingredients prevent future wrinkles and repairs existing wrinkles.
  - Eye creams don't agree with me due to sensitivity. I will still give it a try though. And I am not turned off by the use of placenta in this eye cream. For some reason I don't mind it.

Weekly Empties #1

It's a good and bad thing when I finish a product. Weird to say, but I feel a sense of accomplishment when I finish a product regardless of my feelings on them. But it can also be a sad day if it's a product that I love, regardless if I plan to repurchase it or not.

I thought I would do a weekly empties post. Mostly because I don't feel like having a box just sitting there full of empty product containers. Plus I tend to forget and end up recycling them anyways, and Sunday being my recycle day I thought weekly empties would be better. So let's get started!

Antipodes Deliverance Kowhai Flower Hand Cream
This is a nice light hand cream with a sweet fruity scent. The scent is not overly strong which is good for those who have issues with strongly scented products. Easy absorption with this cream. It does not leave a thick residue on the skin like some glycerin based products. If you have extremely dry hands, this may not be the cream for you.
In Canada Antipodes can be purchased at Whole Foods.

Tree Hut Shea Body Butter ~ Tropical Mango
I received this in my last Beauty Box 5 in the spring. I am using this now because I tend to only us body butters in the winter. It was nice! Not as moisturizing as some body butters that I've tried but it was okay. The consistency was thick and absorbed fast into my skin which was the problem. It felt like I didn't just moisturize my skin. I felt like my skin but not any better. My skin can get really dry in the winter so I need a body cream that basically softens the skin (e.g. Kiehl's Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter). This is not it! I loved the scent more than anything else. Like a tropical drink! It lasted for about a week.

Nip+Fab Mango Smoothie Dry Skin Fix Body Butter
I received this in a swap last year spring and was excited to give this a try this winter.
But this was another okay body cream. As the name states it is more like a smoothie. I found this to be very watery. There was also some separation of the body butter in the tub, so each time I used it I had to shake it up. It absorbed good and the scent lingers on your skin for a little while. The scent is a lot stronger and sweeter than the previous body butter. And just so you know, all of Nip+Fab body butter scents are strong and very sweet smelling. I've tried 3 out of the 4 scents they have and Pistachio is the strongest and sweetest of them all. This lasted about 2 months.

Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil
Pai Skincare is line geared towards people with sensitive skin. I happen to have hypersensitive skin. So finding a skincare line that doesn't irritate my skin is a chore with a lot of hit and miss with more misses than hits.
This is a very good product. I applyed this on my face, my decollete and on any irritations that I had on anywhere else on my body. I used this at night alone or after my serum before my moisturizer.
The oil also works really well in helping to speed up healing of minor skin irritations. I had an irritated mole on the base of my neck and put a band-aid over it to protect it from being disturbed. When I removed the band-aid, I ended up with a bruised welt with some broken capillaries. When this happens it usually takes weeks for my skin to heal, but with the Pai Rosehip oil it took days.
For a comparison I plan on purchasing Rose hip oil from a natural food store to see if the results are the same. The scent has an earthy floral smell.
Can be purchase online at http://usa.paiskincare.com with free shipping to Canada when you spend over $60 (shipped from a Canadian affiliate, so no extra duty & taxes).

Tatcha Moisture Rich Silk Cream
This is a nice light cream. Consistency is more like a gel cream than an actual cream. Not overly rich, so it's good for normal to combination skin types.
I liked it! It did not cause me any breakouts and left my skin feeling moisturized. Though there was no apparent changes to the feel and texture of my skin after a use of about 2 weeks, but still glad I had a chance to try it out.
No strong scent to the cream.

That's it for my empties this week. I would purchase/repurchase everything but the Tatcha cream, only because it is very expensive. It would be a splurge :)

I love learning about new products! Let me know what you are trying and loving this week.

Thanks for reading!
